Senior Planning Engineer
Description, Roles & Responsibilities
Directly responsible to the Project Manager.
Shall work closely with the other members in the team particularly the Senior Project Engineer in managing the CONTRACT Schedule and Annual Plan.

He shall liaise with the COMPANY on all matters pertaining to the WORK and shall ensure that the WORK is done in the most effective and safe manner. He shall ensure that Malaysians are offered the means for job profession and access all available training procedures.
He must be a professional with relevant engineering qualifications and hold a recognized engineering degree.
Min 10 years experience in a similar capacity in offshore oil and gas upstream industry is essential. He must have a proven record in Project, Safety and Personnel Management. He shall be conversant with International, Marine, Malaysian, and Company legal and statutory regulations/ specifications/ codes and procedures.

He shall be resposible for the management of technical, logistical and interface issues for all projects under execution by the CONTRACTOR.
He must be a professional with relevant engineering qualifications and hold a recognized engineering degree.

To provide administration support to AGM such as schedule appointments, meetings & travelling plans.
To coordinate, monitor, maintain and distribute reports according to existing deadlines as required.
To analyse, monitor, and highlight exceptions of generated reports.
To assist AGM on the reviewing of draft contracts being entered into by UWS for completeness and onward dissemination to relevant departments of the actual contracts.
To coordinate, attend & prepare Minutes of Meeting for Finance meetings and other assigned department meetings.
Liaison between other department and external stakeholders.
Organise and maintain files of departmental correspondence, records and follow up on pending matters.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Accounting or Finance or other related majors.
Other qualifications that are related to the Oil & Gas industry are acceptable.
Minimum of 3 years experience in Accounts and Financial Services.
Minimum of 2 years involvement in drafting, implementing Process & Procedure.
Good communications skills in oral and written.
Good interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsible for preparing and estimating economic costing to achieve the best commercial position with minimum risk exposure during proposal tendering stage.
Preparation of Commercial Proposal in accordance with Business Management System.
Prepare accurate and economic costing of tenders and assessment of risk including competition and market trends.
Negotiate terms and conditions of tenders with Customers and Suppliers to achieve the best commercial position with minimum exposure to risk.
Provide business planning and reporting assistance to Proposals.
Responsible for cost control, estimating, work management and analysis for all phases of projects.
Providing services including assistance during contract preparation, bid evaluation, contract administration and verification of contractual payments.
Developing and maintaining a suite of project cost control procedures.
Responsible for the preparation, review, monitoring, analysis and reporting of all cost data for projects associated with capital expenditure program, as well as the Business Unit's net direct expenditures (NDE).
Assists in the preparation, review, monitoring & reporting on the bi-weekly OMC meeting for project planning updates particularly in cost commitments, expenditures and forecasts.
Reviews and analyzes claims and changes orders on project contracts, assists in preparation of cost portion of engineering procurement and construction contracts.
To work closely with Cost Control and Cost Accounting Team to determine basis, rates and standards for various cost requirement.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
At least 3 year(s) of working experience in cost estimation and proposal costing.
Good communication skills & self motivated.
Determination in task given, self starter, motivated and able to work independently.
Willing to travel and work long hours and during weekends.
Knowledge of computer based cost tools including Microsoft Office is a must.

To produce reports.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
